Arab States Call for Unity, End to Displacement, and Urgent Action on Gaza Crisis

Regional leaders have renewed their calls for peace and unity in the Middle East, highlighting the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the broader instability across Palestinian territories, Lebanon, and Syria.

In a statement, the United Arab Emirates urged an end to the displacement of Palestinians, stressing the need to safeguard civilians and protect their right to live securely in their homeland. UAE officials emphasized that prolonged displacement only fuels instability and undermines prospects for peace.

Jordan echoed this sentiment, underscoring that joint Arab action remains a top priority in facing regional challenges. Jordanian representatives reaffirmed the kingdom’s commitment to supporting Lebanon and Syria as they continue to grapple with political and economic crises.

Meanwhile, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit called for an immediate halt to violence in Gaza, which has claimed thousands of civilian lives and deepened the humanitarian emergency. He also urged stronger international efforts to defend the two-state solution, describing it as the only viable framework for resolving the Israel-Palestinian conflict and securing long-term peace in the region.

The renewed appeals reflect growing Arab consensus on the urgency of coordinated action to address ongoing conflicts, prevent further displacement, and uphold the rights of Palestinians. Leaders stressed that without a collective and united response, the cycle of violence and instability in the region risks worsening, with far-reaching consequences for regional security and humanitarian conditions.
