ATC Orders Account Release for SKMT and Namal University in Key Case

The ATC account release created a wave of relief for many people watching the case closely. The decision comes shortly after SKMT reassured the public that most of its accounts stayed fully functional despite earlier reports. The Trust also shared on X that a few accounts faced temporary limits, but patient care and treatment services continued without any delay.

Court Reviews Confusion Around Frozen Accounts

The anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi took up the matter on Monday. The court examined details linked to the November 26 PTI protest case involving Aleema Khan. Prosecutor Zaheer Shah explained that authorities sent her CNIC to the State Bank to freeze her personal accounts. However, the bank also froze accounts tied to the same CNIC, including SKMT and Namal University.
This created confusion for both institutions. They rely on steady financial access for daily operations. As a result, the unexpected freeze disrupted routine processes and raised concerns among supporters.
The court listened to all arguments. In addition, it reviewed documents that clarified the mix-up. The judge then decided that the situation required immediate correction.

Judge Directs Authorities to Restore All Accounts

ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah ordered officials to unfreeze four SKMT accounts and the accounts belonging to Namal University. The decision ensured that both institutions regained full access. It also allowed them to manage their financial responsibilities without obstacles.
The ruling eased public worries. Many people feared that the freeze could affect treatment services or student programs. However, the court’s order removed those concerns and restored confidence in ongoing operations.
Both institutions welcomed the decision. They also appreciated the community for staying supportive throughout the situation.
