Bahrain AWS Outage Restores SadaPay Services After Disruption
A Bahrain AWS outage recently disrupted SadaPay services across Pakistan. However, the company has now fully restored its platform. The issue began after a drone strike hit cloud infrastructure in Bahrain. As a result, Amazon Web Services (AWS) faced regional disruptions.
Services Restored After Migration
SadaPay confirmed that its app is now fully operational. Users can access transfers, bill payments, and card services again. In addition, the company assured users that all funds remained safe. No financial loss occurred during the outage. To fix the issue, SadaPay moved its systems from Bahrain to Europe. Therefore, this migration helped stabilize operations quickly.
What Caused the Outage?
The outage started on March 24 when the app became unavailable. A drone strike damaged AWS infrastructure, causing widespread disruption. This was the second such incident in March. For example, earlier attacks had already raised concerns about system reliability. Despite the outage, some services continued to work. Debit cards, ATM withdrawals, and POS payments stayed active.
SadaPay Takes Responsibility
SadaPay acknowledged that the issue was not platform specific. However, it still took responsibility for user experience. The company apologized for the inconvenience caused. It also promised to improve system reliability in the future. As a result, users can expect stronger infrastructure and fewer disruptions ahead.
