Bolt Humanoid Robot Sets Speed Record at 10 m/s in Real-World Test
The Bolt humanoid robot has reached a top speed of 10 meters per second. MirrorMe Technology revealed the achievement during real-world testing. The company says this makes Bolt the fastest full-size biped tested outside a lab. Engineers designed Bolt for high-speed movement. It stands 175 centimetres tall and weighs 75 kilograms. Despite its size, the robot maintains strong balance and stability. Moreover, MirrorMe built new joints and an optimized power system. These upgrades help Bolt sustain rapid bipedal motion. As a result, it runs efficiently without losing coordination.
Real-World Test Proves Performance
The company demonstrated Bolt on a treadmill. It raced against founder Wang Hongtao during the test. While the robot used shorter strides, it achieved a higher cadence.This approach allowed Bolt to maintain speed with controlled motion. Therefore, it delivered consistent performance under realistic conditions. Unlike many prototypes, this test happened outside a controlled lab setting.The Bolt humanoid robot reflects China’s growing focus on advanced robotics. Faster and more stable machines could support logistics, rescue missions, and industrial tasks. For now, Bolt sets a new benchmark in humanoid speed.
