Brazil Floods and Landslides Kill 21 in Minas Gerais State

At least 21 people have died in southeastern Brazil. Heavy rains caused floods and landslides on Monday evening. The disaster struck Minas Gerais state. Most deaths occurred in the city of Juiz de Fora. Officials confirmed 15 people died there. Another six deaths were reported in Ubá.

Rescue Operations Underway

Rescue workers continue searching for survivors. Dozens of people remain missing after the disaster. Several homes and buildings collapsed overnight. Therefore, teams work through debris to find anyone trapped.
