They torched businesses and set up burning blockades.This violence comes as revenge for their leader’s death. Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as “El Mencho,” died in custody on Sunday. He was Mexico’s most wanted man.

The Capture and Death

Mexican special forces captured El Mencho after a firefight. His bodyguards clashed with military commandos during the operation. El Mencho suffered serious injuries in the gun battle.He died while military forces transported him. They were moving him from Tapalpa to Mexico City. Therefore, his death sparked immediate retaliation from his cartel.
