Coast Guards Seize Massive Narcotics Haul in Gwadar
A major Gwadar Narcotics Seizure took place this week as the Pakistan Coast Guards carried out targeted operations across the region. Their teams launched intelligence-based actions in Hallery and Peshogan. As a result, they disrupted a large smuggling network that operated along the coastal belt.
The Coast Guards reported that the first operation occurred in the Gallery. Teams searched the area after receiving credible information. They recovered 1,400 kilograms of hashish, 105 kilograms of crystal meth, 8 kilograms of heroin, and 6.5 kilograms of opium. In addition, the narcotics were hidden in thick bushes near remote patches of land.
Officers explained that the quantity and quality of the drugs indicated a well-organized trafficking route. They also noted that the smugglers used isolated areas to avoid detection. However, the alert response of the force prevented the shipment from moving forward.
Second Major Operation
The second operation took place at Pasoo Gap in Peshogan. Coast Guard teams conducted snap-checking along the coastal road. They intercepted a vehicle carrying 476 kilograms of premium-grade hashish. This action stopped another potential shipment from reaching its next transit point.
Authorities believe the smugglers planned to transport these narcotics overseas through sea routes. The seized drugs hold an estimated international value of $134.43 million. Therefore, the successful operation helped prevent a massive financial boost to criminal networks.
The Coast Guards stated that such operations play a vital role in safeguarding the national economy. In addition, they shared their commitment to continue disrupting smuggling rings across the coastline. Their teams remain active and determined in their mission.
Commitment to Security
Officials emphasized that consistent action is essential for long-term stability. They promised to strengthen coastal monitoring. They also encouraged communities to report suspicious activities to support a safer environment for everyone.
