DC Sindhu Enforces Zero-Tolerance Policy to Combat Dengue in Multan

The Multan district administration has stepped up its fight against dengue. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Waseem Hamid Sindhu has announced a zero-tolerance on dengue, promising strict action against negligence. He said every official must work actively to protect citizens from the mosquito-borne disease.
According to a district spokesperson, DC Sindhu has ordered officials to intensify dengue surveillance across all areas. Field teams will carry out inspections daily to identify breeding sites. In addition, anti-dengue spray operations will be conducted immediately in sensitive locations. These steps aim to eliminate larvae and reduce mosquito populations before they spread infection.

Strengthening Hospital Response

During a recent health department meeting, DC Sindhu expressed concern over the rising number of dengue cases. He directed hospitals to allocate special wards for dengue patients. He also instructed staff to ensure the timely supply of essential medicines. Therefore, hospitals will stay fully prepared to manage emergency cases efficiently.

Strict Monitoring and Accountability

The DC issued a clear ultimatum for all field teams to remain active and alert. He warned that no negligence in public health duties would be tolerated. Officials failing to show results will face disciplinary action. Regular monitoring will continue to evaluate progress. As a result, the district administration aims to bring dengue cases under control swiftly.
By combining surveillance, hospital readiness, and strict accountability, Multan hopes to overcome the dengue challenge and safeguard public health.
