Dead by Daylight has announced its newest chapter, Sinister Grace, which features a new killer and survivor inspired by Thai folklore. As the multiplayer horror title approaches its 10th anniversary, developer Behaviour Interactive shows no signs of slowing down, continuing to expand its roster with original and culturally rooted characters.
The headline addition in the update is The Krasue, a killer rooted in Southeast Asian legend. Once a woman named Burong Sukapat, she transformed after a dark pact into a creature able to shift between human form and a gruesome floating head with entrails trailing behind. Her abilities include an Intestinal Whip attack in her monstrous form and a vomit strike in her human form that weakens survivors’ defenses. Her perks—Hex: Overture of Doom, Ravenous, and Wandering Eye—highlight panic, exposure, and enhanced tracking in chases.
Alongside Krasue, players will meet Vee Boonyasak, a drummer from the fictional band Axekick. Drawing on her musical background, Vee’s perks center on rhythm and resilience. Ghost Notes reduces Exhaustion and erases Scratch Marks faster, ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR! enhances teammates via a rhythm-oriented series of Skill Checks, and Road Life grants players tokens for exact repairs while wounded, enabling them to recover. Both characters are currently available for testing in the Dead by Daylight Public Test Build. They will officially debut later this month with the release of patch 9.2.0. Dead by Daylight continues to expand its character lineup and provide players with new ways to engage with its ongoing horror by incorporating Thai folklore into its asymmetrical horror gameplay.
