Dhaka ODI Showdown: Pakistan Set for Thrilling Three-Match Series in Bangladesh

The Dhaka ODI showdown is set to light up cricket fans next month. Pakistan will tour Bangladesh in March for a three-match ODI series. The action promises high energy and strong competition.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the squad will arrive on March 9. They will train the next day to prepare for the opener on March 11. The following matches will take place on March 13 and March 15.
All games will unfold at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. The venue often delivers exciting contests and lively crowds. Therefore, fans can expect an electric atmosphere throughout the series.

Recent History and Rivalry

This tour marks Pakistan’s second visit to Bangladesh since July 2025. During that earlier trip, the hosts secured a 2-1 win in a T20I series. However, Pakistan responded strongly when Bangladesh toured their home ground later, winning 3-0 under Salman Ali Agha’s leadership. Meanwhile, recent global events added drama to regional cricket. Pakistan had announced a boycott against India in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Tensions rose after Bangladesh’s request to shift matches out of India was rejected.
As a result, Scotland briefly replaced Bangladesh in the tournament. The International Cricket Council later stepped in and sent a delegation to Pakistan. After discussions, officials confirmed the high-profile clash would go ahead. In addition, the ICC stated that Bangladesh would face no penalty for stepping back. The board also confirmed that Bangladesh will host an ICC event before the 2031 Men’s Cricket World Cup.
Now, attention returns to the field. The Dhaka ODI showdown offers both teams a fresh chance to shine and unite fans through sport.
