Escape Simulator 2 Launches with Enhanced Puzzle Gameplay

Escape Simulator 2 Launches with Enhanced Puzzle Gameplay

Pine Studio has launched Escape Simulator 2, the sequel to their hit cooperative puzzle game that sold over 3 million units worldwide. Available now on Steam with a 10% launch discount, the game enhances the escape room experience with new themes, improved mechanics, and upgraded creation tools. The base price is set at $19.99.

The sequel introduces three themed packs created with escape room experts and community builders. Dracula’s Castle, Starship EOS, and The Cursed Treasure each offer four interconnected rooms filled with clever puzzles and hidden mysteries. Additional content is planned for post-launch updates.

Expanded Cooperative Play

Escape Simulator 2 supports up to eight players in cooperative mode, doubling the capacity of the original game. The physics-driven interactivity returns with enhanced object manipulation, allowing players to pick up, examine, and interact with nearly every element in the environment. This includes moving furniture and driving vehicles within puzzle rooms.
Room Editor 2.0 represents a significant upgrade for community creators. The new lighting engine, building editor, and sequence animations enable custom escape rooms that rival official content in quality and complexity. The original game’s community created over 4,000 custom rooms, a tradition the sequel aims to expand.

Proven Success Formula

The original Escape Simulator’s 3 million unit sales established Pine Studio as leaders in the digital escape room genre. The sequel builds on this foundation while introducing fresh mechanics and themes. The $19.99 price point with temporary discount makes the game accessible to both returning fans and new players.
Co-founder Tomislav Podhraski emphasized the team’s goal to push the escape room genre forward while providing powerful creation tools. The simultaneous launch across multiple regions ensures global accessibility for puzzle enthusiasts seeking cooperative challenges and creative expression.
