Fatima Jinnah Team Wins Quaid-e-Azam Girls Basketball Festival in Karachi

The Girls Basketball Festival delivered excitement as the Fatima Jinnah Team secured a close win in Karachi. The match honored Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary with energy and pride.
The game took place at the International Abdul Nasir Basketball Court, Aram Bagh. Fans enjoyed a tense finish as Fatima Jinnah Team edged past Begum Rana Liaquat Team 20–18.

Thrilling Match Highlights

Fatima Idris led the winning side with eight crucial points. In addition, Amina Ashraf and Simran Lohana added six points each to seal victory.
However, the Begum Rana Liaquat Team showed strong resistance throughout the game. Aneeqa Asif delivered an outstanding performance with 16 points.
Moreover, Fabiha Tariq contributed eight points, while Angel Keswani added four. As a result, the contest remained intense until the final whistle.

Ceremony and Upcoming Championship

The Karachi Basketball Association organized the match with full support. Before tip-off, KBA patron Imran Katia cut a cake to mark Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary.
Several dignitaries attended the ceremony, including Commissioner Karachi Ghulam Muhammad Khan. Officials, referees, and technical staff ensured smooth match operations.
After the game, patriotic chants filled the court, celebrating Pakistan and its armed forces. Therefore, the event blended sports with national pride.
In addition, basketball fans can expect more action soon. The Deputy Commissioner South Basketball Championship begins today at the same venue.
SSP South Mazhar Ali will inaugurate the tournament as chief guest. As a result, Karachi’s basketball scene continues to gain momentum.
