FIA Crackdown Pakistan: Naqvi Orders Strong Anti-Corruption and Migration Control Measures

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the FIA headquarters in Islamabad. He reviewed ongoing development projects and checked infrastructure work. The visit gave new direction to the FIA crackdown Pakistan efforts. Therefore, authorities now aim to speed up reforms and improve performance. In addition, he instructed officials to finish construction work quickly.

Anti-Corruption Drive and Reforms

Naqvi chaired a key meeting during his visit. He ordered a strict crackdown on corruption in government institutions. As a result, the government strengthens its focus on transparency and accountability. He also announced a zero-tolerance policy. This policy aligns with the prime minister’s vision for clean governance.
Moreover, the minister emphasized timely reforms in the FIA. He set a deadline to complete reforms by December this year. This step aims to improve efficiency and public trust. He also directed the FIA to monitor overseas job advertisements. This action helps prevent fraud and protects job seekers.
In addition, Naqvi stressed public awareness. He said authorities must inform people about misleading ads. Therefore, citizens can avoid scams more easily. He also assured full support to the FIA. This support will help the agency fight organized crime more effectively.

Tackling Human Smuggling and Migration

Director General FIA Usman Anwar briefed the minister on key developments. He said the agency gathered detailed data on human smugglers. For example, the FIA identified networks and their facilitators. This data allows targeted and effective action.
Furthermore, the FIA now uses modern technology. As a result, it can track immigration crimes and money laundering better. Coordination with other agencies has also improved. Therefore, enforcement actions now work more efficiently across departments.
Earlier, Naqvi attended meetings in Rome. He met officials from Italy, Spain, and Greece. They discussed ways to control illegal migration. In addition, all sides agreed on stronger cooperation.
European countries praised Pakistan’s progress. They noted a 47% drop in illegal migration. However, they also supported legal migration pathways. These pathways can reduce illegal movement and promote safe travel.
