GTA San Andreas Leaving Netflix Games on December 12

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will soon leave Netflix Games. The iconic entry is scheduled for removal on December 12, 2025. This marks the end of its two-year run as part of Netflix’s library. Netflix first secured access to the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive Edition. San Andreas remained longer due to its massive popularity. Estimates show the game has been Netflix’s most-downloaded title readily.

Content Purge and New Additions

The departure of San Andreas is part of a wider catalogue change. Civilization VI and Twelve Minutes will also be removed in December. Earlier this year, Netflix purged 22 games already. These included Hades and Braid successfully. The removals highlight the platform’s fluctuating content library.
Netflix is also adding new content immediately. Red Dead Redemption joins the service on December 2, 2025. This includes a full mobile port for subscribers. Other additions include WWE 2K and Netflix Puzzled. Netflix Games President Alain Tascan emphasizes a focus on four main categories. These include party, kids, narrative, and mainstream titles.

Player Frustration and Alternatives

The biggest frustration is that removals make titles unplayable. Unlike Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus, you cannot purchase the game separately. Once GTA San Andreas Leaving Netflix is complete, the only option is to uninstall. Save data will not transfer over to other platforms.
The game remains available on mobile storefronts. It currently costs around £18.99. This removal highlights the platform’s volatility for users. Mr. Tascan teased ambitions to build a Fortnite-like social gaming experience. This signals a long-term commitment to gaming.
