A Deadly Blaze in Tai Po
Footage from the scene shows fierce flames rising from the Wang Fuk Court housing complex. Thick grey smoke filled the sky on Wednesday afternoon. As a result, emergency crews rushed to the area and worked to rescue trapped residents.
Officials spoke at a press conference that evening. They confirmed the number of casualties and promised a full investigation. In addition, they urged people to stay clear of the site while firefighters continued their work.
Flame Spread and Ongoing Investigation
