Hyderabad Hospital Treats Children After Shocking Family Attack

Hyderabad Hospital Treats Children After Shocking Family Attack

Four young children are recovering in hospital after the tragic Hyderabad Family Attack. Doctors say emotional trauma has affected them more deeply than their physical injuries. The children witnessed horrifying violence inside their own home.

Children Receive Care in Hyderabad

Officials confirmed the children are in the paediatric ward of Liaquat University Hospital, Hyderabad. The victims include Najamuddin, Nazia, Raheela, and Razia, aged between two and seven. Therefore, doctors are providing both medical and psychological support.
Authorities first moved them to Kotri for emergency care. Later, they shifted them to Hyderabad for better treatment. In addition, hospital staff continue to monitor their condition closely. The district deputy commissioner visited the ward to ask about their well-being. He also expressed hope that an NGO might help support the children. Many people now worry about their future safety and care.

Violence Linked to Drug Addiction

The tragedy occurred on February 1 in a village near Hyderabad. Police said the father, Raku Khoso, struggled with substance abuse. He demanded money from his wife, Mangi Khoso, who worked odd jobs to feed the family. Neighbours said Mangi had no money that day. However, her husband became furious because he wanted drugs. As a result, he pulled out a pistol and shot his wife. He then shot two daughters, Sodhi and Humera, in front of the younger children.
After that, he grabbed an axe and attacked the four surviving children. The neighbors described the scene as horrifying and unbearable. Following the bloodshed, the man turned the gun on himself. Police are investigating the full details of the case. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Family Attack has sparked outrage and deep sadness across the community. Many residents now call for stronger action against drug addiction and better protection for vulnerable families. People also hope the children receive long-term care, healing, and support.
