India-Pakistan Tensions Rise as India Launches Major Military Exercise Near Border

India has launched a large-scale military exercise near the Pakistani border. The tri-service drills will run from October 30 to November 10, 2025. Defence experts say this move signals growing India-Pakistan tensions. Both nations now operate under increased alert levels

India Launches Joint Military Drills

The exercise includes the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Commanders plan to test coordination between all three branches. They will practice combat and logistics operations in border regions. Analysts view the drill as a strong show of force.
India wants to display its joint readiness after earlier defence losses. The government insists these exercises are routine. However, experts believe the timing and location send a clear strategic message. Therefore, the drills highlight India’s intent to reinforce its western defences.
In addition, military observers note that India rarely conducts such large-scale tri-service operations near Pakistan. The exercise demonstrates advanced coordination across land, sea, and air domains.

Pakistan Responds with Strong Warnings

Pakistan immediately issued a warning against further provocation. Civil and military leaders pledged a swift and decisive response to any aggression. Pakistan’s forces across all domains remain on full alert.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf recently visited forward naval posts. He reaffirmed readiness to defend Pakistan’s territorial waters from Sir Creek to Jiwani. As a result, the Navy strengthened its maritime presence. Regional experts now urge both countries to reduce tension through dialogue.
