Iran Travel Advisory Issued as Pakistan Urges Citizens to Stay Cautious

Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Saturday issued an Iran travel advisory for its citizens. It urged people to avoid unnecessary travel due to the worsening security situation. Therefore, the government prioritized citizen safety amid rising unrest.
The advisory asked Pakistanis to postpone visits to Iran until conditions improve. Officials stressed that the situation could change quickly. As a result, careful planning and awareness remain essential.

Guidelines for Pakistani Citizens

The Foreign Office advised Pakistanis currently living in Iran to remain alert at all times. Citizens should limit non-essential movement and avoid large gatherings. In addition, they should closely follow local developments.
Authorities encouraged residents to stay in regular contact with Pakistani diplomatic missions. This connection will help ensure timely assistance if needed. However, citizens must also take personal precautions.
The Pakistan Embassy in Tehran has activated a crisis management unit. The unit will provide support and guidance to nationals. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Mudassir Tipu, confirmed that five contact numbers are available.
These helplines will remain operational around the clock. For example, citizens can report emergencies or seek advice at any time. The embassy has also shared contact details on its official social media platforms.

Situation Behind the Advisory

The advisory comes amid ongoing protests across Iran. Public anger has grown over rising living costs and economic pressure. As a result, demonstrations have continued in several cities.
Reports suggest that authorities have imposed internet restrictions in some areas. These limits have made communication difficult for residents and visitors. Therefore, the Foreign Office stressed the importance of staying connected with official channels.
Officials said the advisory reflects a precautionary approach. The government will continue to monitor developments closely. In addition, it will update citizens if the situation changes.
The Foreign Office reaffirmed its commitment to citizen safety abroad. It urged people to act responsibly and remain informed. As a result, the advisory aims to reduce risk and ensure preparedness.
