Islamabad Talks 2026 Visa Policy Announced Ahead of High-Stakes Peace Talks

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced the Islamabad Talks visa policy on Friday. He confirmed visa on arrival for delegates and journalists. In addition, Pakistan asked airlines to allow boarding without prior visas.
In a post on X, he welcomed participants from all countries. He said immigration officials will issue visas upon arrival. As a result, the policy will ease travel for global representatives.

Global Leaders Gather for Talks

Pakistan will host key talks between the United States and Iran in Islamabad. These discussions follow a deadly six-week conflict. Therefore, leaders aim to turn a fragile ceasefire into lasting peace.
The US delegation will include Vice President JD Vance. Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will also attend. Meanwhile, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf will lead Iran’s side. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will join the delegation.

Islamabad Under Tight Security

Authorities have increased security across Islamabad. Officials have sealed key routes and deployed more personnel. Moreover, surveillance has intensified to ensure safety.
The government selected a secure and undisclosed venue for the talks. This step will protect all participants and maintain privacy. However, global attention remains high as negotiations begin.
The Islamabad Talks could shape regional stability. If leaders succeed, they may reduce tensions and support economic recovery.
