Lviv Terror Attack Kills Police Officer, Ukraine Blames Russia
A terror attack has struck the western Ukrainian city of Lviv. A 23-year-old female police officer was killed. Twenty-five other people sustained injuries in the blast. The attack happened shortly after midnight on Sunday. Police crews responded to a reported break-in call. Two homemade explosive devices then detonated. The bombs were planted inside waste bins.
Suspect Detained
President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed an arrest. Officials detained an individual suspected of carrying out the attack. Lviv’s mayor later revealed the suspect’s identity. She is a 33-year-old Ukrainian woman.
Russia Connection Revealed
Ukrainian police provided further details about the case. The suspect made and planted the explosives herself. However, she acted on specific “instructions” from Russia.
