In a move aimed at enhancing customer convenience, Meezan Bank Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The agreement will provide Meezan Bank debit cardholders with exclusive benefits, including special discounts, when booking flights with the national carrier.
The partnership was formalized at a signing ceremony in Karachi. It was attended by senior officials from both institutions, including Dr. Syed Amir Ali, President and CEO of Meezan Bank, and Mr. Nousherwan Adil, Chief Commercial Officer of PIA.

A Focus on Secure, Convenient Digital Payments

Under this new alliance, Meezan Bank customers can use their debit cards to book PIA flights directly, availing exclusive promotional discounts. The collaboration is designed to offer a smooth, secure, and convenient digital payment experience, reflecting a shared commitment to improving customer service through innovative solutions.
Dr. Syed Amir Ali stated that the partnership aligns with the bank’s focus on delivering efficient, Shariah-compliant banking while enhancing customer convenience. “Collaborations with leading organizations such as PIA help strengthen payment infrastructure, expand acceptance channels, and improve service accessibility,” he said.

Part of PIA’s Broader Customer-Centric Strategy

Mr. Nousherwan Adil of PIA highlighted that this initiative is part of the airline’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer convenience and provide seamless travel experiences. He noted that while PIA continues to collaborate with multiple financial institutions, this partnership offers added value specifically to Meezan Bank’s customer base.
The partnership represents a synergistic effort to leverage digital finance tools to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction in Pakistan’s travel and banking sectors.
