Starry Studio has announced a surprising new collaboration with Pocketpair, the developers of Palworld, to deliver a special crossover event in Once Human. Revealed at the Tokyo Game Show 2025, the event officially begins on October 30th and brings together two very different worlds in a creative and unexpected way.
In this crossover, recognizable Pals from Palworld—including Cattiva, Chillet, and Chillet Ignis—will make their way into the dark survival setting of Once Human. An event-exclusive island will serve as the centerpiece, introducing not only Palworld-inspired environments but also mysterious new Pals that can only be encountered during the event. The teaser trailer highlighted the playful contrast by showing a Pal mining peacefully before being abruptly transported into Once Human’s hostile universe.
The new island is designed to blend gameplay systems from both titles. Once Human’s gritty mechanics will be layered with Palworld’s whimsical ecosystems, creating scenarios where Pals, Deviations, and Meta-Humans interact in strange and fascinating ways. For example, players may witness encounters between Wanderer, Chefosaurus Rex, and imported Pals that feel both humorous and unsettling.
A major highlight of the crossover is the transformation system, which allows players to temporarily become Pals themselves by using special items. This mechanic offers entirely new abilities, exploration options, and perspectives, deepening the sense of immersion. In addition, exclusive cosmetic rewards tied to the event will give players more reasons to participate.
Starry Studio has also rolled out other updates, including the Lunar Revelry Visional Wheel, which ties into the Blood Moon anomaly, and the Trial of Misfortune event launching September 29th. The latter emphasizes co-op gameplay, dividing the continent into conquest zones where teams battle the Lord of Moonlight to earn treasures and unlock powerful Moonlight Trials.
Currently available on PC, Android, and iOS, Once Human is also scheduled to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2026. This Palworld crossover ensures that the title remains fresh, engaging, and firmly positioned as one of the most ambitious multiplayer survival games on the horizon.
