Pakistan Fuel Supply Stable Till April 25 Amid Rising Demand

Pakistan Fuel Supply Stable Till April 25 Amid Rising Demand

Pakistan fuel supply stable till April 25, officials confirmed on Thursday. The country has enough petroleum to meet current demand. Moreover, strong planning and timely imports have helped avoid shortages. Authorities say supply chains remain secure despite regional tensions.

Imports and Reserves Strengthen Position

In March, Pakistan imported petrol and diesel cargoes from Oman. This step helped boost reserves quickly. Additionally, two more petrol shipments are expected before month-end. As a result, fuel stocks will improve further.
State-owned Pakistan State Oil is also exploring more deals. It is in talks with Oman Trading International for extra supplies.

Refineries Increase Output

Local refineries are playing a key role in maintaining supply. For example, Pak-Arab Refinery Company is running at full capacity.
It currently holds enough crude oil for about 15 days. However, incoming shipments will extend supply coverage. Meanwhile, National Refinery Limited and Pakistan Refinery Limited operate at around 80% capacity. This marks a clear improvement from earlier levels.

Quick Response to Global Risks

Officials acted fast after the February 28 tensions involving the United States and Israel against Iran. These events raised concerns about global oil routes. Therefore, Pakistan secured supplies from new sources. Imports arrived from Fujairah in the UAE and Yanbu in Saudi Arabia. As a result, the country avoided disruptions. Fuel availability remains stable, even as some regional markets face pressure.

Outlook Remains Positive

Pakistan fuel supply stable outlook continues in the short term. Authorities believe proactive steps will support demand. In addition, diversified imports and better inventory control will help maintain balance. This approach ensures smooth fuel access for everyone.
