The Ministry of Industries and Production has conducted Pakistan’s first-ever e-balloting under the Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) Scheme. The process allocated subsidized electric bikes and three-wheelers across Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
E-Balloting Results and Process
The secure digital balloting took place through the PAVE Online Portal with technical support from the Engineering Development Board (EDB). A Balloting Oversight Committee supervised the event to ensure fairness and transparency.
According to official data, the ministry received 269,161 applications. Out of these, 40,000 applicants were declared successful. The allocation included 40,000 electric two-wheelers and 1,000 electric three-wheelers.
Applicants can check their results on the PAVE portal using their CNIC or Application ID. Successful candidates will be notified online. After confirmation, subsidy disbursement, payment facilitation, and delivery will proceed through official channels. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) will manage delivery, after-sales service, and warranty.
Federal Secretary for Industries and Production, Saif Anjum, inaugurated the e-balloting. He called it a “landmark step” in Pakistan’s shift towards clean and sustainable mobility.
Subsidy Details and Economic Impact
Under the scheme, buyers of electric two-wheelers will get a subsidy of Rs50,000 for bank-leased purchases and Rs80,000 for self-financed ones. For three-wheelers, the subsidy is Rs200,000 (bank leasing) and Rs400,000 (self-financing).
Officials noted that the PAVE Scheme aligns with the National Electric Vehicle Policy (NEVP) 2025–30. The initiative is expected to create over 100,000 green jobs, boost local manufacturing, and strengthen Pakistan’s industrial base.
The scheme highlights Pakistan’s commitment to cleaner transport and inclusive access to affordable electric mobility.
