Pakistan Saudi ceasefire concern grows over Lebanon violations

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have raised Pakistan Saudi ceasefire concern over violations in Lebanon. Both sides stressed the need to uphold the truce. However, recent developments have increased fears about stability in the region.

Leaders Call for Ceasefire Compliance

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan by phone. During the call, both leaders discussed the situation in Lebanon. They expressed deep concern over repeated ceasefire breaches.
They urged all parties to respect and fully implement the ceasefire. In addition, they highlighted the importance of avoiding further escalation. As a result, both countries want to ensure long-term peace and stability.
Ishaq Dar also appreciated Saudi Arabia’s continued support. He acknowledged Riyadh’s role in promoting regional peace efforts. Therefore, both sides reinforced their shared commitment to diplomacy.

Focus on Regional Stability

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agreed to remain in close contact. They plan to coordinate efforts to reduce tensions. Moreover, both countries see dialogue as the best path forward. The leaders emphasised that lasting peace requires trust and cooperation. However, ongoing violations risk undermining diplomatic progress. This situation could weaken efforts to stabilise the region.
Saudi Arabia has played a key role in supporting peace initiatives. Pakistan has also remained active in diplomatic engagement. As a result, both countries continue to push for calm and constructive dialogue. Still, challenges remain. The situation in Lebanon remains tense and unpredictable. Even so, both nations have shown a clear intent to support peace.
