Pakistan Welcomes Gaza Ceasefire Plan, Hopes for Lasting Peace: Ishaq Dar

Pakistan has welcomed the agreement on the first phase of the Gaza peace plan. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar said the plan includes an immediate ceasefire, release of hostages and prisoners, and unrestricted humanitarian aid for Gaza.Pakistan Praises Global Mediation Efforts
Ishaq Dar praised the role of President Trump, Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye in reaching the agreement. He shared his statement on his official X account, appreciating their collective diplomatic efforts.
He expressed hope that the development would lead to a lasting ceasefire and long-term peace in the region. Dar said such cooperation could open the door to stability and relief for people in Gaza.

Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Palestine

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent support for an independent Palestinian state. He said Pakistan stands by the Palestinians’ right to self-determination.
He emphasized that peace in the Middle East depends on justice for the Palestinian people. Pakistan supports the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
Dar concluded that Pakistan will continue to back global efforts promoting peace, dialogue, and human rights in the region.
