Pakistani Exports to Germany Rise as Green Pakistan Project Boosts Trade
Pakistani exports Germany have shown steady growth in recent months. As a result, trade ties between both countries continue to strengthen. The progress links closely with the Green Pakistan Project. This initiative supports exporters in meeting global sustainability standards. In addition, it helps local businesses compete in European markets. Therefore, exporters gain confidence and credibility.
Green Pakistan Project Creates New Access
Under the project’s first phase, 15 towel exporters completed sustainability reports. They followed the German Due Diligence Law closely. As a result, these exporters can now reach 300 German importers directly. This access removes costly intermediaries.
Moreover, it improves trust between buyers and sellers. Consequently, trade becomes smoother and faster.
Strong Demand for Pakistani Textiles
German Consul for Commercial and Economic Affairs, Anna Class, spoke at a sector workshop. She highlighted strong economic cooperation with Pakistan. She noted high demand for Pakistani textile products in Germany. For example, towels and home textiles remain popular.
However, success depends on continued collaboration. Therefore, both sides must work together for long term growth. She also welcomed growing links with the German Importers Association. This engagement supports inclusive and fair trade.
Sustainability and Future Opportunities
Green Pakistan Project head Dr. Michael Arends explained the project’s scope. It supports compliance with 12 major certifications. Usually, private firms charge high fees for such certifications. However, this project reduces that burden for exporters.
The German government launched the initiative in 2025. It will continue until the end of this year. In addition, Germany created a digital project dashboard. This platform lists verified exporters with complete profiles. As a result, German buyers can easily find trusted suppliers. Pakistani businesses can also receive more export orders.
