PIA Begins Pre-Hajj Flight Operation on April 18

Pakistan International Airlines has finalized all arrangements for its pre-Hajj flight operation. The operation is scheduled to begin on April 18. The initial phase will run until May 21. Flights will primarily head to Madinah and Jeddah.
During this period, PIA plans to facilitate over 60,000 pilgrims. The airline will operate a total of 202 flights. Approximately 49,000 pilgrims will travel under the government scheme. Around 11,000 will travel through private tour operators.

Direct Flights from Seven Cities

PIA will operate direct flights from several major cities. These include Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Sialkot. Quetta, Faisalabad, and Multan are also part of the network. This ensures wider accessibility for pilgrims across the country.
The airline will use its Boeing 777 and Airbus A320 aircraft for the operation. These planes are well-suited for long-haul journeys.

Return Phase and Timeline

The return phase of the Hajj operation will begin on May 30. It is expected to continue until June 30. PIA is coordinating closely with government and private stakeholders. The goal is to ensure smooth travel for all pilgrims.
With preparations complete, PIA is ready to serve pilgrims for another Hajj season. The airline’s focus remains on safety, reliability, and timely service.
