Pokémon Rival Wonderful Neoran Valley Smashes Kickstarter Goal
Italian indie studio Nara’s roguelite monster collector Wonderful Neoran Valley reaches 700% of its Kickstarter goal. Wonderful Neoran Valley Kickstarter raised over $833,000 after hitting its $116,306 target in just ten minutes. The game features over 70 creatures called Neoran with excellent monster designs. The creatures strike a perfect balance between weird and cute throughout. The battle system differs markedly from most turn-based RPGs significantly. You set your monsters’ actions for multiple turns at once. You can also see what your opponent plans, similar to Slay the Spire. A roguelite structure means gathering Neoran and unlocking items run after run.
Unique Features and Horror Twist
Strange phenomena called Nerua Clusters appear throughout the Valley. These clusters cause local Neoran to become belligerent and aggressive. You must learn where they come from and put a stop to them. The trailer’s last minute reveals a shadowy horror creature. Strange realistic eyes on its wings and an uncanny face appear. This terrifying twist is unlike anything Pokémon has ever done before.
The campaign has already guaranteed a Switch 2 version alongside PC. Different Neoran rarities, challenge mode, and randomizer mode are funded. These stretch goals add greater replay value to the experience. Pledge amounts range from $5 to $8,000 for interested backers.
How to Get Involved
$24 or more gets you a copy of the game on your preferred platform. $30 secures a spot in the credits for your donation. $105 lets you become one of the beta testers for the game. Pay $152 and your name appears in-game on a tombstone. $8,142 or more lets you help design your very own Neoran. The developers are targeting a March 2028 release window currently. Wonderful Neoran Valley proves the appetite for innovative monster collectors remains strong.
