Powerplex Joins Invincible VS Roster as New Playable Fighter
Developer Quarter Up reveals the next combatant for its upcoming 3v3 tag team fighter based on the hit series. Invincible VS Powerplex brings the electrically charged and mentally unhinged nemesis to the growing roster. Powerplex lights up foes with lightning-based offense including devastating Ultimate attacks. His moves pay homage to memorable battles against Invincible from the comic and animated series. In the show, Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul voices the character with memorable intensity. Quarter Up has not confirmed whether Paul reprises the role for the game. However, the in-game performance sounds identical, especially during his signature line. The character delivers the fan-favorite “He can’t keep getting away with this!” with perfect delivery.
Roster Nears Completion Before April Launch
Powerplex joins an impressive lineup of 13 previously confirmed fighters for the game. The roster includes Invincible, Omni-Man, Rex Splode, Atom Eve, and Battle Beast. Bulletproof, Cecil, Thula, Monster Girl, and Robot also make the cut. Lucan, Anissa, and newcomer Ella Mental round out the current selection.
Powerplex becomes the 14th confirmed fighter for the upcoming title. Only four more roster spots remain to be filled before launch. The game will feature 18 characters total when it releases next month. Game Informer featured Invincible VS as their next cover story recently.
Launch Details and Availability Confirmed
Invincible VS launches on April 30 for multiple platforms worldwide. Players can enjoy the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The digital edition of Game Informer’s cover story launches March 3. Print editions will arrive in late March for subscribers and newsstands.
