Precision Platformer Nullstar: Solus Launches April 16 on All Platforms

Developer Smash Attack Aus and publisher indie.io announce Nullstar: Solus launches April 16 on PC, Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series. Nullstar Solus platformer puts players in control of Solus, a scavenger drone racing to find a nullstar on a dying world. Corporate vultures descend to tear apart the corpse when a world dies and its nullstar becomes available. Solus navigates a labyrinth of metal and decay, braving still-active relics of a bygone age. The game features 80 levels spread across five game worlds within an ancient civilization. Each level is hand-crafted by artists working closely with level designers. A dark soundtrack features Amelia Jones (Hollow Knight) and Mariya Anastasova (Baldur’s Gate 3).

Flight Path System and Gameplay

Solus can move in all four directions and anywhere between them during flight. Mastery of the Flight Path System becomes key to winning the race for the dying world’s heart. Players can turn off thrusters selectively to maximize speed. Braking with thrusters makes near-impossible turns and shaves seconds off your score.
Fast-paced, high-risk, high-reward gameplay drives the experience from beginning to end. Better times earn more decryption points to learn about the world of Nullstar. Players must be swift, think fast, set records, challenge rivals, and break their records again. The game rewards precision and quick reflexes throughout.

World and Challenge Design

The dying world’s megastructure belongs to an age long gone according to the lore. Secrets, constantly evolving challenges, and remnants of past glories fill each level. The labyrinth of metal and decay hides ancient dangers and forgotten hazards. Corporate competitors also race to reach the nullstar ahead of you.
The game launches across all major platforms simultaneously on April 16. Speed is of the essence as your drone races down into forgotten, overgrown chambers and corridors. Ancient dangers and forgotten hazards await in your quest for the most powerful energy source. Precision platforming fans should mark their calendars for this release.
