PUBG Launches Sci-Fi Roguelite Mode Xeno Point
PUBG Studios introduces Xeno Point, a brand-new roguelite sci-fi shooter built within the original PUBG gameplay framework. PUBG Xeno Point drops players into a third-person shooter where aliens have invaded Miramar. Your journey begins in the Hub, a central zone for picking initial skills and basic gear. Four difficulty tiers await, with Tier 4 featuring the final boss encounter. Completing Normal difficulty unlocks Hard mode, and beating Hard unlocks Impossible mode. After each tier, players return to the Hub to spend skill points and craft powerful Supers. Blue Chip Skills and earned currency persist even after your team dies. Teamwork becomes essential for boarding the mothership and defeating the entity controlling the alien invasion.
How Xeno Point Plays
The game retains the same familiar gameplay that longtime PUBG players recognize immediately. Looting ammo, weapons, and gear from the ground throughout each run remains a core activity. Gunplay feels nearly identical to the core PUBG experience, which helps with quick adoption. Alien targets move more erratically than human opponents, so landing accurate shots becomes significantly harder.
The Hub features a clean design with clear objectives in that initial staging area. Nevertheless, a learning curve exists for understanding what each perk actually does. Crafting Supers and prioritizing which ones to build takes time to master accordingly. With more exposure to the mode, these systems will become clearer over multiple playthroughs. Therefore, Hub progression serves as the main form of advancement for your character and gear.
First Impressions and Potential Issues
The mode feels comfortable to play once you enter that first door and start clearing enemy waves. Team cohesion becomes absolutely essential at higher difficulty levels. Bringing the right setup before entering a run often determines success or failure. As a result, players can easily spend hours enjoying Xeno Point with friends without getting bored.
Variety could become an issue over time according to early hands-on impressions. Seeing the boss emerge from the mothership feels genuinely cool the first time you encounter it. However, repeating the same encounter without meaningful changes could become tiresome after many runs. Adding more skill variety would allow different build approaches, thus enabling unique playstyles to emerge.
