The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a rain forecast for Karachi for Wednesday and Thursday. A westerly wave is affecting many parts of the country. As a result, residents can expect cloudy skies and possible thunderstorms.
According to the forecast, Karachi will see partly cloudy weather with rain and gusty winds. Temperatures will stay between 30°C and 32°C during the day on Wednesday. Meanwhile, humidity may reach high levels before easing in the evening.
Rain and Thunderstorms Expected
The Met Office predicts rain with thunderstorms across several districts. These include Larkana, Sukkur, and Jacobabad. In addition, areas like Ghotki and Shikarpur may also receive showers.
Officials warned about possible lightning in isolated areas. Therefore, people should stay cautious during storms. Farmers should also manage crops carefully to avoid damage.
On Thursday, temperatures in Karachi will drop slightly. Highs may range between 27°C and 29°C, while nights will feel cooler. Winds will shift direction, which may bring more moisture into the region.
Weather Outlook for Sindh
Rain is also expected in other parts of Sindh. For example, Hyderabad, Thatta, and Badin may experience thunderstorms with strong winds.
Moreover, some areas could see isolated heavy rainfall or even hailstorms. This may affect daily routines and travel plans. As a result, residents should plan ahead and stay updated.
However, the weather will improve by Friday. The Met Office expects mostly sunny skies with stable temperatures. Winds will continue to shift, but conditions will become calmer across the region.
