Russian Drone Attack on Ukraine Market Kills Five

Deadly Strike on a Saturday Morning
The attack happened at 09:50 local time. The location was the town of Nikopol. This town sits just across the Dnipro River. Russian forces have occupied the opposite bank since their full-scale invasion.
A Busy Spot Turned into Chaos
Pictures from the regional prosecutor show terrible damage. Smashed market kiosks lie everywhere. The ground is strewn with metal, glass, and food. As a result, the scene is one of complete devastation.Nikopol frequently comes under fire. Almost half of the town’s 100,000 residents left long ago for safety. However, this strike hit in the middle of a busy Saturday morning. Therefore, the number of casualties is very high.
Second Strike and War Crime Investigation
In addition, two men were injured in a second strike. That attack hit the exact same location. The prosecutor confirmed this detail. Officials are now investigating the attacks as a war crime.This tragedy follows more violence on Friday. At least 15 civilians died in drone and missile strikes across Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russia reported a Ukrainian attack on the city of Taganrog. That overnight strike killed one person and seriously injured four.
