Saudi Arabia Opens Doors for Pakistani IT and Cybersecurity Firms

Saudi Arabia offers a huge market for Pakistani IT companies. As relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom strengthen, experts see major opportunities in cybersecurity and digital services.
Both nations achieved strong rankings in the Global Cybersecurity Index. They stood beside global leaders such as the US, Japan, Singapore, and Australia. Experts say Pakistan’s digital defense experience has enhanced its reputation and built global trust.
Saudi Arabia’s rapid digital transformation under Vision 2030 creates a need for secure systems. Pakistani firms can fill this gap by offering skilled expertise and affordable solutions. The growing collaboration also strengthens economic ties between the two allies.

Expanding Cybersecurity Skills

IT expert Abdul Sammad believes Gulf states prefer regional service providers for sensitive technology projects. Therefore, he urged Pakistani companies to expand their capacity and improve cybersecurity services for Saudi clients.
He said the global demand for cybersecurity professionals continues to rise. As a result, Pakistani software houses should invest in training and certification for their teams. Companies that build strong talent pipelines can compete internationally and attract Gulf contracts.
“It’s the perfect time for IT firms to launch bootcamps and degree programs in cybersecurity,” Sammad told Business Recorder. He emphasized that universities must partner with the tech industry to close the skills gap.
Pakistani students should also pursue studies in cybersecurity and related fields. This education can open doors to jobs in Pakistan and the wider GCC region. By building digital expertise, young professionals can help Pakistan strengthen its position in the Gulf’s booming tech market.
With smart planning and innovation, Pakistan’s IT industry can play a leading role in Saudi Arabia’s digital future.
