Saudi Health Minister Reviews Madinah Healthcare for Ramadan
Saudi Arabia is preparing its healthcare system for Ramadan. Health Minister Fahad AlJalajel visited hospitals in Madinah on Sunday. The holy month begins in less than two weeks.
The minister inspected key facilities to ensure high readiness. He focused on patient safety, quality of care, and operational excellence. This effort aims to serve both visitors and the city’s 2.1 million residents.
AlJalajel met with the regional Hajj and Umrah committee. He then toured primary healthcare centers and major hospitals. The visits are part of broader ministry inspections across the kingdom.
Focus on Critical Services and Upgrades
The minister reviewed several specialized departments. He inspected critical care services and emergency departments. Operational support facilities were also examined.
He checked progress on important upgrade projects. These include expansions to outpatient clinics and improvements to operating rooms. Upgrades to neonatal and nursery services were also reviewed.
Madinah’s network is extensive and vital. The healthcare system currently operates about 200 facilities. It must be prepared for increased activity during the holy month.
Ensuring Continuous Operational Excellence
These inspections have a clear strategic goal. The ministry wants all facilities to maintain the highest standards. Therefore, ensuring seamless service during Ramadan is a top priority.
The proactive review of projects and services is crucial. It helps identify and address any potential gaps before the season begins. Consequently, both residents and visitors can expect reliable, high-quality care.
