Security Forces Eliminate 18 Terrorists Linked to Indian Proxy Group in Balochistan
Security forces have killed 18 terrorists in Balochistan during two separate operations. The terrorists were linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan. The operations took place on October 28 and 29 in Quetta and Kech districts.
Operations Under “Azm e Istehkam”
According to the ISPR, an intelligence-based operation in the Chiltan Mountains area of Quetta targeted terrorist hideouts. Troops engaged the militants in a fierce gun battle. As a result, 14 terrorists were killed and several weapons were recovered.
The ISPR described them as “Indian-sponsored terrorists.” It said the operation was part of the ongoing Azm e Istehkam campaign to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan.
In a second operation in Buleda, Kech District, forces raided another hideout and neutralised four terrorists. Security personnel also seized weapons, ammunition, and explosives. These terrorists were reportedly involved in multiple violent activities across the region.
Leaders Praise Security Forces
President Asif Ali Zardari praised the troops for their bravery and reaffirmed support for the counter-terrorism drive. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the entire nation stands with the security forces. He reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to eradicate terrorism in all forms.
Meanwhile, security forces foiled a rocket attack on the Jaffer Express in Quetta. In another incident, a hand grenade attack in Dera Murad Jamali injured 13 people, including women, children, and two police personnel. Authorities have begun search operations to locate the attackers.
