Shooter Mohsin Nawaz Sets Two National Records at Long Range Championship
Pakistan’s top long-range shooter Mohsin Nawaz set two new national records at the 3rd F-Class Long Range National Championship. The event took place at the Army Marksmanship Unit in Jhelum on November 3, 2025.
Double Record Win for Mohsin Nawaz
The championship brought together elite shooters from across Pakistan. Competitors faced off across multiple categories and distances. Mohsin Nawaz dominated the field with two record-breaking performances.
He clinched gold in the 200-meter .22 ELR F-Class event, setting a new record score of 144 points. He continued his winning streak in the FTR 300-meter category, scoring 50.9 V-bulls, another national best.
His precision, focus, and experience helped him outperform some of the best marksmen in the country. These achievements further strengthened his reputation as Pakistan’s most consistent long-range shooter.
Champion with International Success
Mohsin Nawaz is no stranger to international recognition. He won silver at the 2023 European Long Range Championship at Bisley. He also reclaimed the Pakistan record in the 800-yard category at the same venue with a score of 75.13 V-points.
His remarkable career includes Pakistan’s first-ever gold medal at the NRA US Long Range Championship in 2018. He has also earned honors at major events in the UK and South Africa.
Beyond competition, Nawaz works as a sports psychologist and serves as brand ambassador for KAHLES Sports Optics and Peregrine Bullets. He has been nominated for the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, the first for any Pakistani shooter. The national award will be presented on March 23, 2026, at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
