Sindh Launches PWD Job Portal Under Disabilities Act 2018

PWD job portal Sindh will soon support employment and inclusion across the province. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah approved the initiative during a high-level meeting at the CM House. He directed officials to fast-track development and ensure transparency. As a result, persons with disabilities will gain direct access to public sector jobs and support services.
Officials from key departments attended the meeting. Principal Secretary Agha Wasif and Secretary DEPD Tauha Ahmed Faruqui joined the session. Sukkur IBA Vice Chancellor Prof Asif Ahmed Shaikh and Consultant Samad Channa also shared technical input. The team agreed to build the system in collaboration with Sukkur IBA.

Smart Platform with Grievance Support

The PWD job portal Sindh will use AI-based job matching to connect applicants with suitable roles. It will offer multilingual access in Urdu, Sindhi, and English. In addition, the platform will include a grievance redressal system. This feature will allow users to file complaints and track responses quickly.
Moreover, the portal will link directly with provincial government departments. Authorities aim to ensure merit-based recruitment and full transparency. The prototype is expected by February 2026. The job portal will go live in May 2026, while the grievance module will follow in July 2026.

Backed by Law and Inclusive Policy

Murad Ali Shah said the project aligns with the Sindh Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2018. The law guarantees equal rights in education, employment, healthcare, and public life. It also enforces a five percent job quota in government departments. Furthermore, the government will promote inclusive education and awareness campaigns. Departments must submit annual progress reports to monitor compliance. Therefore, the initiative aims to strengthen accountability and long-term impact. The chief minister stressed that every citizen deserves dignity and independence. Through this platform, Sindh plans to build a more inclusive and empowered society.
