Sindh PPP Projects Completed as CM Hails $740m Investment Milestone

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced the completion of major Sindh PPP projects on Tuesday. The province delivered three landmark initiatives with Kuwait’s EnerTech Holding Company. Together, the projects represent investments exceeding $740 million. As a result, Sindh marked a major milestone in public-private development.
The chief minister shared the announcement at a ceremony held at the CM House. He said Sindh achieved historic progress through its PPP framework. Despite economic pressure and inflation, the province met key infrastructure goals. Therefore, officials remain confident about future partnerships.

Key Infrastructure and Energy Projects

One completed project is the Nabisar-Vajihar water supply scheme. The $215 million project ensures sustainable water for Thar coal power plants. It supports electricity generation of up to 1,650 megawatts. In addition, the project finished on time and saved Rs7 billion.
Another major initiative is the NED Science and Technology Park. This $125 million project marks Pakistan’s first university-led tech park under PPP. It aims to support research, startups, and industry-academia collaboration. As a result, Sindh expects stronger innovation and job creation.

Urban Sustainability and PPP Success

The third project is Karachi’s TP-4 wastewater treatment plant. The $400 million initiative provides treated industrial-grade water. It also addresses a long-standing gap in urban waste management. Officials say it will improve environmental sustainability in the city.
The chief minister praised EnerTech CEO Abdullah Al-Mutairi for timely delivery. He also acknowledged senior police and administrative officials for their support. Al-Mutairi said Sindh’s PPP model can handle complex projects. He described the Thar water supply as a game changer for energy growth.
Overall, the completed Sindh PPP projects reflect strong progress in infrastructure, innovation, and sustainability.
