Sindh Transport Rules Update: Computerized Fitness Now Mandatory for Vehicles

The Sindh transport rules have become stricter for vehicle owners. Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced a major update. As a result, vehicles without computerized fitness can no longer operate on roads.
He explained that Sindh has fully computerized its motor vehicle system. Therefore, every vehicle must now meet digital fitness requirements. This move aims to improve road safety and transparency.
Sharjeel Memon said the government wants safer travel for everyone. For example, computerized records help reduce fraud and illegal vehicles. Authorities will enforce these rules across the province.

Clear Rules for Ambulances and Emergency Use

In addition, the Health Department has issued clear instructions for ambulances. Drivers may use sirens and emergency lights only in specific situations. These include picking up patients and reaching hospitals.
Sharjeel Memon stressed responsible use of emergency signals. Misuse can create panic and traffic issues. Therefore, the department now monitors ambulance operations closely.
The government believes these steps will improve emergency response. At the same time, they will reduce unnecessary noise on roads. This balance supports both patients and the public.

Expansion of Public Transport in Sindh

Sharjeel Memon also shared updates on public transport. The Transport Department continues to purchase new buses. Some buses have already reached the port.
Moreover, the Sindh government approved the purchase of 500 additional buses. This decision supports long-term transport planning. As a result, more routes will soon serve citizens.
He said better transport remains a top priority. Affordable and reliable buses help daily commuters. Inclusive transport improves access for students, workers, and families.
Overall, Sindh transport rules focus on safety and service quality. Through technology and investment, the province aims to modernize mobility. These reforms reflect a stronger commitment to public welfare.
