Diplomatic Tension After Jets Enter Defence Zone
Seoul reported that seven Russian and two Chinese warplanes briefly entered the zone on Tuesday. However, the aircraft did not cross into South Korea’s sovereign airspace. Therefore, the military treated the situation as a precaution rather than a direct threat.
In response, South Korea deployed fighter jets to monitor the movement. Officials said they took tactical steps to prepare for any emergency. In addition, the defence ministry noted that the jets followed standard procedures used during previous encounters.
