Syria and UAE Partner to Launch Emergency Health Preparedness Initiative

Syria has taken a major step to bolster its healthcare resilience. The Ministry of Health signed a key agreement with a UAE foundation. This partnership aims to dramatically improve emergency medical preparedness.
A new program titled “Jaheziya Syria” is the centerpiece of this effort. It will provide standardized, international-level training for Syrian medical staff. The goal is to build a stronger, more coordinated response to future crises and disasters.

Building a Sustainable Healthcare Shield

The initiative will unfold in two clear phases. It begins with an intensive three-month pilot program. This initial stage will train 200 frontline healthcare workers from across Syria.
The training has a comprehensive five-year vision for long-term impact. It focuses on creating sustainable capacity within the national health system. Doctors, nurses, and emergency teams will all receive critical instruction.

Investing in Human Capital for Crisis Response

Program leaders emphasize that skilled personnel are the most vital resource. Human capital forms the essential first line of defense during any emergency. Therefore, the training will also include civil defense and health administration leaders.
This partnership is a core part of Syria’s broader health strategy. It aligns with ongoing efforts to rebuild and strengthen national healthcare infrastructure. The initiative promises to enhance public health outcomes for all Syrians.
