Tim Cook Confirms AI-Overhauled Siri Coming in Early 2026

The arrival of AI-overhauled Siri is now officially confirmed by Apple CEO Tim Cook, and users can expect the rollout in early 2026. This marks one of the biggest upgrades to Siri since its original debut. As a result, Apple aims to transform its voice assistant into a smarter, more proactive companion across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more.

Smarter, Faster, and More Personal

The next generation of Siri is designed to understand natural conversation better and respond more intelligently. For example, it will remember context within long requests, provide more accurate suggestions, and handle multi-step tasks without repeated commands. In addition, Apple is focusing heavily on on-device processing to maintain user privacy while boosting speed.
This upgrade is powered by Apple’s new AI models, expected to deeply integrate with everyday apps such as Photos, Messages, Notes, and Music. Imagine asking Siri to edit images, summarize documents, or plan a full schedule without ever typing a word. Therefore, the assistant will feel more helpful and human-like in daily use.

When Can Users Try It?

Early access may begin through beta software in late 2025. However, the full experience will arrive in early 2026 alongside new hardware launches. Cook also hinted that Apple Intelligence features will continue expanding over time, meaning Siri will grow smarter with every update.
Fans have wanted this leap for years, and Apple finally seems ready to deliver a voice assistant built for the AI era.
