UAE Sends 23-Truck Convoy with Medical and Food Aid to Gaza

The United Arab Emirates has dispatched a humanitarian convoy of 23 trucks to Gaza, carrying vital medical and food supplies in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO). The delivery, announced on Thursday, highlights the UAE’s ongoing efforts to assist the Palestinian people as the humanitarian crisis deepens.

Out of the total, 16 trucks were loaded with medical aid donated by the UAE to the WHO. The supplies are expected to strengthen Gaza’s struggling healthcare sector, where hospitals face severe shortages of medicines, equipment, and staff amid the rising number of casualties from the ongoing conflict.

The remaining seven trucks carried food supplies aimed at addressing urgent nutritional needs for displaced families and vulnerable communities across Gaza. With widespread food insecurity and limited access to clean water, humanitarian agencies have warned of a worsening hunger crisis if aid deliveries are not maintained.

UAE officials emphasized that the initiative reflects the country’s humanitarian commitment and strong collaboration with international partners to deliver timely assistance. The convoy is part of a broader relief effort coordinated with global organizations to alleviate the suffering of civilians.

Relief agencies welcomed the move but reiterated calls for sustained and unhindered access to ensure that aid reaches all those in need. The UAE reaffirmed its readiness to continue providing medical, nutritional, and logistical support to Gaza through ongoing cooperation with the WHO and other humanitarian partners.
