UAE Travel Agencies See Surge in Enquiries After Ceasefire Announcement
UAE travel agencies are seeing a surge in enquiries. The two-week ceasefire in the US-Israel-Iran war sparked this increase. The pause in fighting took effect on Wednesday morning. Travel operators reported a rise in both enquiries and visa applications.
Firoz from Tahira Travels noticed the change immediately. “From today morning, I have received a significantly higher number of tourist visa applications,” he said. Many applicants asked about quick processing times. They were eager to come to the UAE.
He called this a positive sign for tourism and business travel. Many people had put their plans on hold due to regional tensions. The ceasefire is now bringing them back.
Enquiries Increase but Caution Remains
Other travel operators also reported more calls. Safeer Mohammed from Smart Travels said enquiries increased after the news broke. Many callers asked whether flights would resume regular schedules.
Raheesh Babu, CEO of musafir.com, noted that travel agents are waiting for more information. Airlines and airports have not yet confirmed full schedules. He expects clarity in the next day or so.
Since the war began, many airlines revised their flight schedules to the region. The ceasefire brings hope, but recovery will take time.
Common Concerns Among Travelers
Travel experts identified common concerns among callers. Many people are in the UAE on visit visas that have now expired. The UAE government offered concessions on a humanitarian basis. These travelers are now asking whether those concessions remain valid.
Another concern involves ticket prices. Many are waiting for prices to regularize before booking. April and May are school vacation times in India. Many professionals bring their families to the UAE during this period.
“This ceasefire comes just in time for such people to reconsider their plans,” Raheesh said. Once prices stabilize, many families are expected to travel. The coming days will bring more clarity on flights and schedules.
