Russia attacked 14 regions of Ukraine in a huge overnight offensive. The hits left 30 people, including children, injured and one mother dead. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia fired 45 missiles and around 540 drones. The Russian defense ministry asserted that it had met its goals. Ukraine retaliated by attacking Russian oil refineries, setting many installations on fire. The attacks were confirmed by Russian authorities. While worldwide attempts are being made to reach a peace agreement, the ongoing violence is still getting worse. With both sides trading blows and people taking the brunt of the violence, the situation is still grim. A solution to the situation is being sought by the international community.
