Zalmi vs Qalandars Match: Peshawar Dominates to Claim Top Spot

The Zalmi Qalandars match saw Peshawar Zalmi crush Lahore Qalandars by 76 runs in Karachi. As a result, Zalmi climbed to the top of the PSL table. Meanwhile, Qalandars struggled and now sit near the bottom.

Zalmi Seal Dominant Win

Chasing 174, Lahore collapsed for just 97 in 17 overs. Their batting lineup failed against a sharp Zalmi attack. Therefore, the game quickly slipped out of their hands.

Mendis and Bowlers Shine

Kusal Mendis led Zalmi’s charge with a fluent 74 off 48 balls. In addition, Babar Azam supported him with a steady 43. Together, they built a strong 109-run partnership. Mendis played with confidence and smart shot selection. For example, he used drives, scoops, and big hits to control the innings. On the other hand, Babar rotated the strike and kept things stable. However, Qalandars fought back late. Shaheen Afridi took three wickets and slowed the scoring. Despite that effort, Zalmi still posted 173 for seven. In response, Lahore never found momentum. Early wickets hurt their chances, and pressure kept building. As a result, their middle order collapsed quickly. Michael Bracewell made a big impact with three key wickets. Similarly, Sufiyan Muqeem added three more with clever spin. Nahid Rana also chipped in with pace and accuracy. Although Dunith Wellalage tried to resist, the target proved too big. Eventually, Zalmi sealed a convincing win.
