A new Grand Theft Auto VI teaser has ignited debate among fans, leaving many puzzled over its true meaning. Rockstar Games confirmed earlier this year that GTA VI would be delayed until 2026, softening the news by sharing 70 new screenshots of characters, vehicles, and settings. Among them, one image stood out: character Brian Heder seen standing over what appears to be part of the game’s map.
The still has fueled speculation about the scale of GTA VI’s Leonida State and how the world will take shape. GTABase.com was quick to highlight the image, sparking a wave of fan theories. Dedicated sleuths even enhanced and flattened the screenshot to imagine how it could look as an in-game map. Some fans believe the fragment reveals key landmarks. One supporter commented: “Ok honestly this is really good, that’s most likely GrassRivers in the Southeast, I hope mappers take note of this.”
Others dismissed the theory, with another fan countering: “It doesn’t work with the community map or the projections no matter the orientation.” The speculation doesn’t stop there. A separate theory suggests the map section may not belong to Vice City or Leonida State at all. “Maybe it’s of a different country? Looks like they are staging some kind of trip,” one user proposed.
Until Rockstar provides a clearer look, the true size and scope of GTA VI’s map remain a mystery. For now, fans continue dissecting every teaser—proving once again that speculation is half the fun of a new Grand Theft Auto release.
