Gemini Search Trends Lead Google’s 2025 Curiosity Wave

Gemini Search Trends Lead Google’s 2025 Curiosity Wave

Every year, Google highlights the topics that spark global curiosity. The company’s annual report offers a clear view of shifting interests. Gemini search trends led the list in 2025, and the rise was impossible to ignore. People searched for fresh ideas, new tools, and fast changing stories.
Google explains that these rankings reflect searches with major spikes. They do not show the most common daily queries. This approach helps us understand which moments shaped the year. As a result, the report paints a more meaningful picture of public interest.

Gemini claimed the top spot worldwide

The AI chatbot drew attention for its updates, features, and impact. India vs England and Charlie Kirk followed close behind. In addition, DeepSeek became one of the fastest rising tools in the AI space.
News searches took a sharp turn as well. Charlie Kirk dominated the category, especially around the phrase Charlie Kirk assassination. Iran and the U.S. government shutdown also saw major increases.

Food searches brought a lighter tone

Hot honey led the list with its sweet and spicy appeal. Marry Me Chicken and chimichurri trailed behind but still gained strong momentum.
Movies and actors sparked their own trends. Anora took first place. Superman and the “Minecraft Movie” followed. Mikey Madison, Lewis Pullman, and Isabela Merced emerged as the most searched actors.
Sports fans stayed active too. The FIFA Club World Cup captured global interest. The Asia Cup and ICC Champions Trophy also trended throughout the year. Paris Saint Germain topped the list of teams.
Podcasts, books, and pop culture rounded out a busy year. Together, these topics show how quickly interests evolve. They also prove how strongly technology, creativity, and major events shape global conversation.
